What's new in rule pack 2026.11.1
Updates - released 2026-10-29 for kit 0.1.1
This pack is about ending sessions cleanly. Agents tend to finish with loose ends parked in chat: a question nobody answered, a check promised for next week, half a task. The pack gives every one of those a place to go and a command that proves nothing was left behind.
Who it helps
- You run long Claude Code or Codex sessions and lose track of what is still open when they end.
- You hand work between sessions or agents and want the next one to find it without reading the whole conversation.
- You want a second model to review code before it is committed, but not to drain one subscription first.
What changed
Session close-out skill
Anything still open at the end of a session goes to exactly one place: a review record when you need to decide, a cadence when it has a date, or a handover when another agent will pick it up. The agent cleans up what it made, scans the conversation for loose ends and reports in one short list.
A close-out audit in the ledger
hm.py closeout lists each work item with where it went, or UNLINKED, and fails until every item is finished or parked somewhere you will see it.
Review rules
A finding from a reviewer is accepted on the same proof as a dismissal: check it against the code first, fix one at a time, test each. Every change you commit gets a blind second read, with the strongest reviewer on security, money, migrations and anything you cannot undo.
Model routing
Task fit and speed come first. No engine is drained first by default, and a second engine is optional: every job it does has a fallback, so a lapsed subscription breaks nothing.
Cleanup and CI
Worktree cleanup treats ignored files as possibly unique work, records build targets on the item that made them, and leaves refusals open for a recurring sweep. A cancelled CI run is never the verdict, and slow CI splits into a quick check per push and a full check before release.
Planning
When a request is thin, the agent asks one question at a time, plays back what it understood and puts two or three approaches side by side before writing a spec.
How to apply it
- Back up or commit your kit folder.
- Download the pack with your updates licence key (GET /v1/updates lists it) and follow PACK.md inside it.
- Copy the changed skills into your brain and run
python <brain>/tools/hm.py sync. - Rebuild and reinstall your instruction files, then run
python <brain>/tools/hm.py closeoutat the end of your next session.
Rule packs come with an updates plan, and the kit includes three months of updates. How updates work.
